5-8th Grade MS Shine Youth Rally

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

What is the Shine Rally?

The 5-8th grade diocesan-wide Shine Rally has been around since 1996. The late Deacon Ken Baldwin had a desire to create an event that appealed to middle school students and drew their attention to Jesus. It is an awesome day of speakers, music, games, skits, food, and faith.

It is has changed a lot over the years, moving to bigger and better venues. Now it is at the end of March at the 3 Mile Project.

When is it?

Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 1-6:30PM.

Who can attend?

ALL 5-8th graders.

Where is it?

It is now held at the 3 Mile Project (3050 Walkent Dr. GR 49544).

How much does it cost?

$30/person by February 17.

$35/person by March 17.

$45/person late registration.

How do I pay?

Please send payment to St Jude. (1120 4 Mile Rd NE 49525) It can also be dropped off at the parish office or put in the weekend collection basket. Please make sure to note what it is for.

Checks should be made out to “St Jude Parish.”

What the heck do you do at a Shine Rally?

What DON’T you do? Some highlights of what to expect:

●Worship music, icebreakers, and games
●Keynote talks and free-time
●Full access to 3-Mile Project: Ninja course, basketball, gaga ball, video game stations, and more

Do we just go alone or with a group?

If you sign up through St Jude with Sue you will attend as a group. We will meet at the event. There will be time to go off and do your own thing, though.

Can parents come?

We need chaperones, so yes! Please let Sue know if you are able to help. (There is also an option to sign up to chaperone in the student registration)

All chaperones will need to be Virtus trained and given a background check. (This applies to any adults in the event space)

Is there Shine swag?

Yes! Please bring extra cash if you plan to buy anything.
